0.2.1 - Patch Notes

TGTTOS-Store.jpg

Patch 0.2.1 has just been deployed! This patch is mostly surrounding economy balance changes.

You can expect a lot of these types of patches in Closed Beta, as this is our opportunity to change things drastically in our economy before we lock it in when we hit Open Beta :)
  • Both Faction XP gain and Loyalty Road level requirements have been increased by a factor of 5.
It feels better to receive more XP (and more bloops!), even if it's mechanically the same.

  • Faction XP and Game Tokens distributed by games should be more even.
Spamming HITW for Faction XP shouldn't be nearly as effective.

  • Posé prices updated; items are generally more expensive.

  • Game Token static shops updated:
    • HITW Shop
      • Removed: Ice Cream, 8-Ball, Diving Helmet.
      • Added: Slime Fist, Hole in the Head, Slimeling.
    • Sky Battle Shop
      • Removed: Sun Hat, Ski Goggles, Umbrella, Pirate Hat, Drill Arm.
      • Added: Winged Helmet, Flight Helmet, Pilot Cap, Zeus, Zeus Bolt.
    • TGTTOS Shop
      • Removed: Party Hat, Gauntlet.
      • Added: Chicken-Copter, Hard Hat.
    • Items removed from shops have been added to various crates or are available from other sources.

  • Prices of all Customization Crates have been updated; bronze crates are typically less expensive than before but have worse odds, while golden crates are more expensive and have a higher chance of getting better items!

  • New Customization Crates are available in the Fashion Shop and the prices of existing crates have been updated accordingly.

  • Customization Kits can now contain Variant Blueprints as their bonus item! Variant Blueprints in kits could come from any crate source. Rarer kits have higher chances to contain blueprints.

  • The Umbrella cosmetic and it’s variants are now a bit smaller
(Sorry, just a few too many island bystanders were getting hit by the edges of the umbrellas!)

  • Opening a Customization Kit that has been completed with quests will no longer spend a key.
We’ve also removed the ability to even spend keys to open completed quests, because that doesn’t really make any sense…
  • Removed 'Feeding the Void' and 'Chicken Slapper' achievements

  • Removed certain quests from appearing as Kit Quests, such as Sky Battle Champion and Battle Box Champion.
    • Temporarily reduced the required placements for those two quests as well pending a fix to how they're scored.

Additional changes - 2nd September 2022

  • Shops will now display the same icon that is used in the wardrobe for certain cosmetics, such as the Slimeling hat.
  • Parkour in queue! Yipee!
  • Added two small builds in hub, a small theatre and a ceremonial garden.
  • Removed some leftover “todo” messages in the /inspect command.
  • Fixed the ‘Army Helmet’ cosmetic from not displaying correctly.
  • Added a /rules command, and a reminder of the rules in the scheduled announcements.
  • Ignoring players will now hide their messages in games, rather than just in Lobby servers.

TGTTOS

  • Re-enabled modifiers:
    Beehive
    - Early Birds, TNT Time
    Badlands - Early Birds

Additional changes - 6th September 2022

  • Added a notice when you first join, reminding you about Closed Beta.
    • Also changed the sign in the centre of the hub to be clearer about Closed Beta.
  • You can no longer sit in chairs that NPCs are sitting on.
  • If you have received a warning, you will no longer be forced to acknowledge it multiple times. You will only have to acknowledge it once.
  • Team colour combinations in Sky Battle and Battle Box have been tweaked to ensure that matches won’t be played with colours that are too similar.
