How Beta selection works

How Closed Beta selection works - the ferry awaits!

The MCC Island ferry

The month of August is finally upon us, meaning the first boats heading to MCC Island will soon set sail! We're excited to explain how you can claim your Admission Ticket and how the selection process works.

Once the beta period commences we will begin selecting waves of participants of a limited size. At first, these waves will be small as we test our server hardware, but you can expect that wave sizes will increase as we progress through the closed beta and we become more confident in our systems.

If you haven't signed up to the MCC Island closed beta, there is still time! Head to your account privacy settings and sign-up for the MCC Newsletter to be guaranteed a chance at participating.

As Noxite discussed in our initial post on the beta, there will be a player cap on the server meaning an admission ticket does not guarantee instant access but we'll do our best!

Now to the selection process itself!

It's an automatic and random process, meaning Noxcrew cannot manipulate who is chosen to participate. Those lucky enough to be selected will be sent an email from our verification systems ([email protected]) prompting you to input your Minecraft: Java Edition username.

Please be wary of phishing scams; no Noxcrew member or moderator will ever offer you an Admission Ticket directly. We can only guarantee their validity if they are sourced from this process or on our official webstore.

⚠️ Please ensure you input your username correctly; Noxcrew will not manually edit stored usernames for security purposes.

🔗 Links in the selection email are personal to you; sharing the links could allow others to claim your admission ticket!

You've done it; your ticket has been claimed under your username, but there's still one last step. You'll then be sent over to our webstore to redeem your free admission ticket. We're using our webstore to handle this final part of the whitelisting process as it is a central place to handle both regular Admission Tickets and our Fast Pass system (more on this soon).

At this point we'll send you another email confirming that your Admission Ticket has been claimed, this will also include a link to complete the process on our webstore just in case it wasn't done initially.

📎 Remember: all progressions and rewards will be wiped at the end of the closed beta, but purchases from the webstore will remain.

That's it for general Admission Tickets; we'll be giving you more information on how the Fast Pass ticketing system works very soon. I, and the rest of the MCC Island team, can't wait to see your ships land starting later this month!
