From the very start, Noxcrew has worked with the community in mind. From Gameshow to MCC, Paladin’s Quest to the Minecraft Marketplace, we’ve always tried to impress, excite and engage with our community, keeping you on your toes as to what mad adventure we’ll take you on next.
As this amazing community grows, more of you are talking and getting to know each other from across the world. In light of this, we’ve put together the Noxcrew Community Code of Conduct that covers our expectations for community behaviour across all aspects of the Noxcrew universe - not just in our MCCI server or Discords, but all of our official channels and community spaces.
Whether you’re an OG supporter of Yellow Team or taking your very first step on MCC Island, here’s how we expect our community to behave.
Here at Noxcrew, we made our content for everyone to enjoy, regardless of age, gender, race, sexuality, nationality, creed or disability, so treat everyone with respect, especially those joining this mad-cap adventure for the first time.
Noxcrew makes content for all ages so avoid swearing, discussing inappropriate topics, or posting Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content or language - this has no place in the Noxcrew community.
This extends to Minecraft skins, usernames, descriptions and profile pictures.
Also, while we all have opinions on the world, Noxcrew strives to be an escape from the more contentious issues of the real world, to be a place where people can enjoy Minecraft shenanigans. So switch off the politics and let's enjoy the show.
Everyone loves a laugh and a joke, but humour can be lost or misinterpreted, and words can offend. Be mindful and consider how the things you’re saying might be taken.
Also if someone asks a question, help them out; you’d probably appreciate being helped out if the roles were reversed.
❕ Debate is healthy; Harassment isn’t
Our projects, especially our events, can be fun and exciting, as can talking about them with the rest of the community. However, at the end of the day, everyone involved in our projects are human and will make mistakes at some point.
We’re always open to and listening for feedback but attacking someone because they don’t share the same opinion or perform in a manner you find disappointing isn't going to help anyone and could ruin the experience for yourself or others.
If you become frustrated or angry, take a step back, collect yourself and then share your feedback or opinions in a more respectful manner.
❕ Your messages are public
Disclosing real-life personal information about yourself could result in hacking, impersonation or doxxing so be mindful of what you share in any online space. You never really know the person you’re talking to behind the screen.
❕ Speak out
If you feel uncomfortable or anxious about another member within the Noxcrew community, be they a community member, contestant or staff member, or feel they are breaking the community code of conduct, speak out. Report it via our Report System or contact a trusted member of Noxcrew.
We’re all here to keep each other and the community safe, so if you see it, say it, and it will be sorted.
❌ Discriminate against other community members based on who they are
As we’ve said before, Noxcrew creates content for everyone regardless of age, gender, race, sexuality, nationality, creed or disability. Prejudice of any kind is totally unacceptable.
❌ Harass, bully, intimidate, threaten or encourage others to do harm
None of these behaviours will be tolerated against any member of the community, be they staff, contestants or community members.
Any action designed to target and upset another member constitutes bullying. Repeated action designed to ruin the experience of another member constitutes harassment.
We take this sort of behaviour very seriously, and anyone caught doing so will be removed - People who take these actions have no place in our community
❌ Share anything illegal
If it’s illegal or heavily restricted in real life, it has no place in our community. From drugs and gambling to sexual harassment and explicit images, such things will not be tolerated in our spaces.
❌ Advertise, impersonate others or use multiple accounts
Promoting your personal projects or social channels is not permitted, with the exception of fan art. This includes asking players for help with building, drawing or coding on your project as well as advertising other Minecraft servers/ events.
Any attempt to trick other community members into believing you are a staff member, YouTuber or MCC Contestant is also not allowed as is the use of alternative or multiple accounts, especially when used to avoid punishment or gain an unfair advantage in games.
❌ Spam, troll or engage in witch hunts.
Any form of spamming should be avoided. Trolling, baiting and witch hunts are also unacceptable.
❌ Submit Falsified Evidence
Falsely submitting reports or falsifying evidence against other players in the hopes of getting them banned or removed is prohibited, as is resubmitting evidence that has already been reviewed.
❌ Necropost, Bump or create Petition Threads
Necroposting and Suggestion/Topic bumping are not allowed on the MCCI forums
Necroposting is defined as replying to threads that haven't had any new posts in the last three weeks in an attempt to revive them.
Bumping or submitting a "bump post" is posting a post that has no content and only serves to bring the topic up to the top of a category or avoid the topic being closed due to inactivity.
Creating posts asking for the removal of a player’s punishment, action against another player or another similar topic is also not allowed.
❌ Ask for staff or admin ranks
We put a lot of thought and consideration into protecting our community. That attention extends to the moderators we trust to look after the community. Asking for staff will not get you staff ranks.
Noxcrew and Admin ranks are reserved for Noxcrew employees only. Moderators are chosen via moderator applications.
🛑 Use Illegal Clients, Modifications or Bug Exploits
MCC Island is rigorously tested to provide as clean an experience as we can, but bugs can slip past us.
Intentionally using a bug or glitch in any way, shape, or form is strictly prohibited as is using a client/modifications (mods) that provide a distinct, gameplay-changing advantage. This also includes any mods that modify your mouse’s click function
Knowingly teaming with someone abusing bug/using illegal mods or asking them to use bugs/illegal mods to help you is also not allowed
The types of modifications we do allow on the server are detailed in our Approved Mods Guide.
Crossteaming is defined as intentionally working together with an enemy player in a game for your own benefit or another team/player's detriment.
However, in some games, like To Get To The Other Side, cross-teaming is part of the chaos of the game; as such, players won’t be punished for doing it.
The Community Code of Conduct is here to ensure and maintain a welcoming and safe environment for all community members.
Members found breaking these guidelines can expect to have their access to the MCC forums, server or any Noxcrew Discord suspended. Rule breakers can also expect:
🔨 Punishments can be extended or even made permanent if you persistently break the Code of Conduct.
🔨 Good behaviour over time can reduce the length of future punishments
🔨 Appeals can be made via our Reports system.
